Overview

After deploying your web app to Vercel, you’ll want to connect your custom domain so users can access your landing page, privacy policy, and support pages at your own domain.
Make sure you’ve already purchased a domain (we recommend Cloudflare Registrar) and deployed your web app to Vercel before proceeding.

Step 1: Add Domain in Vercel

  1. Go to your Vercel Dashboard
  2. Click on your project
  3. Go to Settings → Domains
  4. Enter your domain name (e.g., yourapp.com)
  5. Click Add

Step 2: Configure DNS Records

Vercel will show you the DNS records you need to add. You have two options: If your domain is on Cloudflare:
  1. Go to your Cloudflare Dashboard
  2. Select your domain
  3. Go to DNS → Records
  4. Add the records Vercel provides:
For apex domain (yourapp.com): 
Type: A
Name: @
Content: 76.76.21.21
For www subdomain (www.yourapp.com): 
Type: CNAME
Name: www
Content: cname.vercel-dns.com
Important: Turn OFF the orange cloud (Proxy) for these records. They should show a gray cloud (DNS only).

Option B: Other DNS Providers

Add the DNS records as shown in your Vercel dashboard. The exact steps vary by provider, but you’ll typically need to:
  1. Log into your DNS provider
  2. Find DNS management or DNS records
  3. Add the A record and/or CNAME record as specified

Step 3: Verify Domain

  1. Go back to Vercel → Settings → Domains
  2. Wait for the domain to verify (usually takes a few minutes)
  3. You should see a green checkmark when verification is complete

Step 4: Set Primary Domain

Once verified:
  1. Click on your apex domain (yourapp.com)
  2. Click Set as Primary if you want this to be the main URL

SSL Certificate

Vercel automatically provisions and renews SSL certificates for your domain. This happens automatically after DNS verification - no action needed!

Troubleshooting

Domain not verifying?

  • Check DNS propagation: Use dnschecker.org to verify your records are propagating
  • Wait longer: DNS changes can take up to 48 hours (though usually much faster)
  • Disable proxy: If using Cloudflare, make sure the proxy is OFF (gray cloud)

SSL certificate issues?

  • Vercel handles this automatically, but it may take up to 24 hours
  • Ensure your DNS records are correct and the domain is verified

Wrong content showing?

  • Clear your browser cache
  • Check that the correct project is associated with the domain in Vercel

  • Support page at yourapp.com/support
These URLs are what you’ll use when submitting your app to the App Store.
